Writing A Page From Your Life Story
sessions begin june 1,
mondays 4:00PM-6:00PM (5 sessions)
Led by Susan Flynn
John Lennon said, “Life is what happens while you’re making other plans.” This workshop will provide an opportunity for participants to reflect on and write about their life lived thus far, plans, surprises, and detours. Writing together based on prompts provided by the facilitator invites reflection on one’s life journey, with the possibility of perceiving a path that has always been, and continues to be, emerging.
Participants will experience a two hour workshop offered by an AWA trained facilitator where two writing prompts will be provided each of 5 sessions. The AWA method will be explained and utilized, as it is a method providing structure and safety to participants.
This workshop is not aimed at the craft of writing, but as writing as a form of discovery and expression. If you can speak, you can write. The writing prompts are invitations to reflect on one’s life during different eras. Participants will write to the two prompts; after the writing, there is an option, not an expectation, to share what you have written with the group.
