Liturgies for Resisting Empire

Join Kate in a small online group for an immersive experience of discovering the ways empire has seeped into our bones, forming and shaping us without our realizing.

Together we will pull apart and untangle from the lies of empire and learn how we can practice resistance. We’ll talk about how to resist ideologies of violence, reject hierarchies of class and race, transcend dualistic thinking, and embrace a way of life that cultivates joy, kinship, wisdom, and connection.

Let’s reimagine new ways of being and ways we can resist empire together.

We will meet for 10 weeks on Thursdays from 1:30 – 3 pm Pacific,

June 18 – August 27, 2026 (except the last week of July).

Cost: $50 plus the cost of the book

Kate Laymon is a Spiritual Director and has facilitated Spiritual Direction groups for students at Fuller Seminary as well as spiritual formation groups of many kinds.
