Shelter in the Storm: Cultivating a Steady Heart in Turbulent Times
Group Spiritual Direction, June through November 2026
Meets online once a month for 6 sessions
with Rev. Sandi John
We are living in challenging times, filled with turmoil, uncertainty, grief, unrest.
You may be asking…
how do I remain rooted in Spirit in a time of collapse?
how can I attune to meaning, wonder, and soul in the midst of disorientation?
how do I remain present, grounded, and receptive, living in maturity, clarity, and compassion while discerning what is mine to do?
Find shelter in the storm in this Group Spiritual Direction offering (also called Group Spiritual Companionship). We are here for those desiring accompaniment in social movements and action while welcoming those seeking to live with integrity in the polarity of contemplation and action.
The group will offer wide spaciousness for contemplation and reflection individually, as well as time to listen deeply to one another speak what they notice arising within them as they seek to authentically live a depth spiritual response and build tender resilience in these turbulent times. In the hurry of life, amid the myriad of voices swirling around us from day to day, it can be difficult to stop and discern that still small voice of Love.
Group Spiritual Direction offers a communal setting in which the members commit to hold sacred space for one another, to listen for the whispers of the holy in our lives.
Groups are limited to 6 people so that everyone in the group will have a chance to share at each meeting. When you are invited to share, you may share anything from your life that feels significant to you. The underlying assumption of spiritual direction is that the holy is inherent in all things.
