Pause
a monthly gathering
Pause is a space to step out of the usual pace and reconnect with your life as it is. Each monthly gathering (2–3 hours) offers a different way to slow down and notice what’s here: through reflection, creative practice, quiet, movement, time in nature, or even a bit of play and laughter. Some sessions may feel still and spacious, others more active or expressive, but all are designed to help you reconnect, engage your life more fully, and make room for whatever you’re carrying.
Pause is offered monthly on alternating weekend days to make participation more accessible. Gatherings may take place at the Bread of Life office or in other community settings.

Entering the Story: An Experience of Imaginative Prayer
october 31, 2026, 10AM-12PM PT
Have you ever been so absorbed in a story that you could almost see the scene,
hear the voices, or feel yourself there?
What if you could bring that same capacity for imagination into prayer?
Join us for a contemplative workshop exploring imaginative prayer, a practice rooted in the spiritual tradition of Ignatius of Loyola. Through guided meditation, imagination, silence, journaling, and conversation, we’ll explore what happens when we move beyond thinking about a story and allow ourselves to enter it.
You’ll be invited to notice the details: the sights, sounds, emotions, people, places, and moments that emerge and listen for what they might reveal. There is no right way to experience the practice and nothing you need to accomplish. You simply bring your curiosity and your willingness to be present.
Whether imaginative prayer is completely new to you or you’ve practiced it before, this workshop offers space to slow down, listen deeply, and encounter the sacred in a fresh way.
Come curious. Come open. Step into the story and see what unfolds.

Led by Leith Lombas & Jen Ramsey
Both Jen and Leith have undertaken the 19th Annotation of the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises with spiritual direction and cohort participation.
MEET LEITH
Leith Lombas is a sociologist and spiritual director. He views spiritual direction as a dynamic encounter where he invites people to bring their full, whole selves to be seen and heard. He considers it an honor and privilege to sit with people as they share their lives, with the hope of helping them connect to that which is greater than themselves.
MEET JEN
Jen Ramsey is a spiritual director and contemplative facilitator. She believes that even the messy, complicated parts of being human can become places of deep spiritual discovery. Jen creates nonjudgmental spaces where people can slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect with their own stories, inner wisdom, and the sacred. She believes it is a gift to accompany people as they explore what is calling them toward deeper connection and a more authentic life.
