Chair Yoga and Meditation
Learn a short sequence of gentle, modified yoga poses practiced while sitting on a chair. If you can sit, you can do Chair Yoga!
Just like regular yoga, Chair Yoga increases flexibility and strength. Take a break and experience the benefits of overall vitality and peace. In addition to a good stretch, Chair Yoga participants enjoy the health benefits of yoga, including better breathing habits, stress reduction, and a sense of well-being. We conclude the practice with a short meditation.
Marilyn Buehler has long been a meditation teacher and yoga practitioner. She enjoys offering chair yoga classes, creatively adapting traditional yoga poses to be done sitting in a chair. There has been such an enthusiastic response to her classes, she looks forward to offering this at Bread of Life Center! She teaches chair yoga to employees of the Franchise Tax Board and at the public library.
