Circle of Light: Women Through the Ages
Presented as Saturday workshop: 9:00 – 3:00 PM, or as a weekend mini-retreat: 7:30 – 9:00 PM on Friday, 9:00 – 3:00 PM on Saturday. Bring a bag lunch for Saturday.
“Living a spiritual life may look different on the outside, but on the inside, there are communal threads that weave us together in majestic tapestry”. -Margaret Wolff
By exploring women of Scripture, Mystics, and extraordinary lay women, we will uncover how their spirituality, courage and integrity have radiated hope for us all. We will look for the “common threads”, gaining inspiration and strength for our personal journey. Prayer, ritual and sharing of our own stories will be woven throughout the day/weekend, as well as space and time provided for personal reflection.
Spirituality and Creativity: The Challenge and the Gift
Presented as a Friday or Saturday workshop: 9:00 – 3:30 PM. Bring a bag lunch.
Where do our days go? Do daily distractions keep you from growing spiritually and creatively? You might be surprised to find there is more life there than you know. Together, we will look at the many ways we incorporate these gifts, and explore what is needed to nourish their growth. We will create a group spirituality “quilt” and a personal mandala reflecting the day’s discussion and process. Prayer and ritual will be woven throughout the day.
“All I Want to Say to You is . . .You Are The Beloved”
Presented as a Friday or Saturday workshop/retreat: 9:00 – 3:00 PM. Bring a bag lunch.
Acknowledging that we are the beloved faces us with the call to become our truest self, and this leads us to a great spiritual journey. With Henri Nouwen’s book , Life of The Beloved, as our guide, we will look at the challenge to live daily as though we believe we are the beloved.
By exploring the four words/actions of Eucharist in our own lives, we can identify the movement of the Spirit. We are: Taken, Blessed, Broken, Given. Just as Jesus lived these words, we too are called to live them out in our lives. This is our call as Christians – to be Eucharist, to be “Bread” for our world today.
Presentation, personal reflection time, and group sharing will form the rhythm of the day within the framework of prayer and ritual.
